2010 Board Candidates
2010 SECT Board Member Candidates:
Sara Andrews
Born and raised in Wisconsin, Sara attended Wheaton College and graduated from the University of Wisconsin magna cum laude with a double major in Finance and Marketing in 2004. She obtained my CPA license in 2007. Currently Sara is a senior tax associate at Eide Bailly, preparing corporate and individual tax returns and working on employee benefit plan audits. Sara is married to her husband, Chris (who has been in several SECT productions), for five wonderful years. They have a two-year-old girl named Evalyn who is their pride and joy. If Sara is not with her family she can usually be found reading a book or diving for a ball on the volleyball court. Sara’s only appearance on stage was as Sheila in SECT’s production of “Boys Next Door” in 2005.
Gordy Swanson
Gordy lives in Brandon with his wife Lesli and 3 kids – 2 in college and 1 in high school. He is Chief Deputy States Attorney for Minnehaha County, and for fun he likes to read, watch movies, and participate in church activities. He’s been in several plays, starting in junior high in Dell Rapids and continuing to the Old Operahouse Players, Brandon Valley High School, Sturgis Community Theater, and Mighty Corson Art Players. He has been on Boards of Directors for the United Way, a non-profit retirement home, church councils, and a volunteer fire department.
Dick Kock
Born and raised in Sioux Falls, Dick Koch graduated from the Creighton University Dental School, and has practiced locally ever since. He and his wife Cindy have two children in college, Ben & Lisa. Dick was in productions in high school & college, and a number of SFCP productions. He was last seen on stage in the SECT production of A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum as Marcus Lycus. Dick has been a District Chairman and member of the Executive Committee for the Sioux Council of the Boy Scouts of America, and also was Exalted Ruler and on the Board of Trustees for the Elks. Gardening is something he enjoys during the summer months. Dick also relaxes playing piano, and performed for shows and auditions for the SFCP, along with performing for “Doctors in Recital” at the Pavilion for Children’s Care Hospital and School.
